Rare Mushroom - Fisherian Runaway

These are images of procedurally generated fungi, each mushroom is derived from a unique set of roughly 60 parameters. The project is an outgrowth from a series of 88 unique prints I created in 2015 titled ‘Rare Mushrooms’ which were sold to raise money for genetic research charities (my son was born with a rare genetic condition called Potocki-Schaffer Syndrome). In 2021 I evolved this into a generative project where a new mushroom was minted and sold on the Tezos blockchain each day for 194 days. The individual mushrooms could then be crossbred via their programmed DNA to create new hybrids. Since then mushrooms from this series have been exhibited at The Natural History Museum, Los Angeles and published in multiple books. The collection of prints that are available in this print collection are unique and have not been offered for exhibit or sale before.
